Elaine Adams is an emerging ceramic artist currently based in Baltimore, Maryland. Elaine uses precise craftsmanship to express the nebulous nature of nostalgia and queer identity. Elaine’s work expresses the weight of longing and desire through delicate details captured in slip-casting and the smoothness of the wheel-thrown form. Found objects, toys, and collections are elements of the work used to reclaim a lost boyhood. Elaine’s first solo show, Magpie Nest, was on display at the Lazarus Center in 2022. Elaine graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May of 2023 with a BFA in Ceramics.
